The Prince of Wales Hospice Club 5

Eitex was honoured to be given the opportunity to become the first member at the launch of Club 5. This brand new network club for businesses has been set up by The Prince of Wales Hospice based in Pontefract, and promises unique benefits for everyone involved. The name reflects the close community within the 5 Towns.

About Club 5 and Why We Have Joined

It’s not enough these days to be good at business. Success also depends on how we’re perceived within the community. We make a fuss about carbon footprints and the environment, but less tangible is how we show our corporate social responsibility. An ethical outlook, a trustworthy attitude and an awareness and engagement with community issues underpins branding and excites customers to do business with us.

Many businesses hold all these values close to their heart, but it can be a challenge to show how we reflect those values in day to day business. Club 5 offers a way that’s quiet but visible. Actions, as they say, speak louder than words.

The Club 5 business network offers outreach into the local community, specifically demonstrating support for The Prince of Wales Hospice. As Club 5 members we:

  • receive an appreciation plaque to display at our premises
  • can use The Prince of Wales Hospice logo.

In addition, the Hospice will actively promote Eitex on social media and through regular features  in the local press. Through Club 5 they support and promote member businesses, shout out  achievements or goals reached and any special or free services members are offering.

Exclusive annual networking and celebratory events will offer Club 5 members including Eitex the chance to join with like-minded businesses, swap ideas and maximise the opportunities membership gives.

There are also team building and employee morale or skill boosting opportunities through special corporate volunteering days. And our dedicated account manager who will help plan our Club 5 membership and provide us with all the resources you’ll need.

In return, we’ll help raise the profile of the Hospice, bringing wider awareness of the valuable, life changing support and care they provide. The partnership will reward everyone involved, including the patients and carers whose lives they make better every day.

Tracey Mearns. Partnership Development Co-ordinator at the Hospice “We’re delighted to welcome Eitex on board as one of our first Club 5 members. It costs over £3 million a year to keep our Hospice open and we only receive around 25% of this from the NHS. For the rest, our patients rely on the generosity of local people and companies.

We wanted to create the opportunity for any sized local business to help provide the 24 hour specialised care required by our patients, who each have a life limiting and progressive illness.  For £250 & VAT per year, Club 5 membership gives companies like Eitex the chance to do just that – and create some potential business with other Hospice supporters at the same time! ”

Powerful Community Support is People-Driven

Following our recent move to Castleford, we’ve enjoyed getting to know our neighbours as we settle in. Supporting the launch of Club 5 and being the first members has given us a great way to get more involved.

Eitex managing director Dean Spencer says, “It’s our aim to be the go-to IT services provider in the area. But we care, and we want to show we’re about more than computer systems. IT is our bread and butter, but we never forget that communities and businesses are people driven, and without the people we’d be nowhere.”

If you’re running a business within the 5 Towns or surrounding area, we’d love to welcome you aboard as a Club 5 member. Together we can do something unique for our local hospice AND strengthen our business ties and opportunities.
