Eitex in partnership with Wakefield First held a Wakefield Digital Growth Day. The conference was aimed to give businesses an insight into the latest developments of digital technologies.
The event was held during Wakefield Business Week and above all was a great success with presentations from six great industry leaders with over 50 businesses attending.

First of all Beth Kent from Northern Media began the presentations. She explained how to get the most out of popular social networks. She also talked through the best platforms to use for your company, how to consider your customers and how to stay on brand.

Next up was Joshua Barnes from Ingram Micro and Deon Denny from Microsoft talking you through Surface-as-a-service. They explained the surface devices Surface Go, Surface Pro, Surface Laptop and Surface book 2. There is a option to purchase these devices by paying monthly.
Office 365 – Work from Anywhere with SharePoint and OneDrive-for-Business
Dean Spencer was next to present explaining the different applications in Office 365 and how it can enhance your systems (such as email, file sharing, communication, and working from anywhere).
Dean covered the Office 365 products available covering Sharepoint and OneDrive for Business and some of the many benefits.
Cyber Security and Business Continuity
Gary Hibberd Managing Director at Agenci gave a powerful presentation about cybercrime and GDPR. Gary explained what threats your company faces and how you can product your company. He also explained GDPR and the steps to take to demonstrate compliance.

Barry Ward the UC Product Manager at Wavenet explain the multiple benefits of VoIP. These included reduced costs and higher call quality. It seems like the entire world is heading toward using VoIP.
