This year sees Eitex celebrate a ten-year IT support partnership with the national glazing specialists, GG Glass and Glazing Ltd.
GG Glass and Glazing is one of the UK’s leading contract glazing specialists. They have branches in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Glasgow. In addition to contract work, they also provide a nationwide 24/7 Emergency replacement glazing service 365 days a year.
Dedicated IT Support Team
GG Glass recruited Eitex shortly after incorporating in 2008. At the time each depot worked independently. Servers at each location served local file-shares, with basic/POP3 email providing company-wide communication.
To ensure a new computer system would be delivered and installed our dedicated support team worked closely with Directors. The new system, which has been designed by Eitex, is based purely around Cloud technologies.
Director Mr Grant commented, “the new system is far more flexible. As a result, this allows us to invest more freely in other areas of the business. Office 365 and CRM Online allows us to switch on new users. Due to this our new branches and offices are far easier to plan.”
Microsoft Cloud Partners
Eitex was one of the original Microsoft Cloud Partners in the UK. Due to our team of experienced cloud professionals, GG Glass was one of the first companies to enjoy Microsoft BPOS in June 2011. At this time, employees were able to see each other’s mailboxes and calendars, which allowed better team collaboration.
More recently, Manchester and Birmingham came on-board, and further IT support was required to allow the systems to keep pace with business expansion.
Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
Eitex demonstrated Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to the board during a recent meeting. Teams will bring everything together in a shared workspace where GG Glass can chat, meet, share files, and work with business apps.
GG Glass is excited by the prospect of accurate collaborative working between head-office, branches, and front-line staff. Therefore, GG Glass has signed on the dotted line to use Office 365 to its full potential with Azure, Flow, Planner, ToDo, OneDrive-for-Business, and MileIQ.
Pro-active IT Support
Eitex is also providing pro-active IT Support for all computers in the business. GG Glass have access to our helpdesk, telephone support, and on-site support. The Eitex team pride themselves on a quick response for day to day issues and immediate response for critical issues.
