Pontefract Golf Club IT support

Eitex is proud to have recently contracted with Pontefract and District Golf Club (PDGC) to provide their IT needs with Office 365.

PDGC are also members of Club 5 business networking group. Formed recently to help raise funds for The Prince of Wales Hospice, the group is growing rapidly and always open to new members. It was through our support of this worthy cause that our two companies connected. We soon realised our mutual ability to also support each other through business.

The prestigious and esteemed golf club is situated just outside Leeds. It has a long, traditional history, having grown from relatively humble 9-hole beginnings back in 1904. In the early 1930s, Yorkshire born Alastair McKenzie designed the present 18-hole golf course. He was also the mastermind behind the famous Augusta course in Atlanta, Georgia, and dozens of others across the world.

Office 365

Pontefract and District Golf Club maintains a fine balance between retaining its heritage and meeting modern demands. Reliable, fast communications underpin all businesses today, with IT at their heart.

Office 365 creates a streamlined and joined-up business environment. It ensures all the computers are operating on the latest software versions. This, in turn, plugs holes in security and deals with compatibility issues. PDGC is an active golf club, running several competitions each week. They also cater to the needs of casual golfers, run beginner and junior sessions, and welcome visitors to the club. Their IT infrastructure must be stable and reliable so they can maintain current high standards of customer service and support.

As for most forward thinking, customer orientated businesses, the ability to work from any location on demand is priceless. Office 365 satisfies this need, running as swiftly on mobile devices as on office desktops. They will also have access to enhanced search and tracking facilities across documents, with collaboration tools that enable departments to stay in touch.

Moving Forward

Updating IT infrastructure doesn’t happen all at once. Eitex will soon be moving PDGCs email to Office 365. This will create another link towards an integrated IT system.

Despite its traditional heritage, Pontefract and District Golf Club is always moving forward. The Eitex team will be on-hand in the future, ready to assist where possible.
