Microsoft announces Microsoft 365 price increase from March 2022
Microsoft has announced an increase for its Office 365 and Microsoft 365 services. The price increases will affect commercial and business users of Microsoft’s software and will take effect on March 1, 2022.
A Decade of Microsoft Improvements
Microsoft launched Office 365 over a decade ago across 40 different markets, and the company has been improving it ever since.
Since launching Microsoft 365, Microsoft has added 24 apps to the suite, including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Business Voice, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Automate, Stream, Power Apps, Planner, Visio and Yammer.
Up to 25% Price Increase for Microsoft 365
In Microsoft’s blog post announcing the higher prices, vice president for Microsoft 365 Jared Spataro stated, ” the first substantive pricing update since we launched Office 365 a decade ago. This updated pricing reflects the increased value we have delivered to our customers over the past ten years.”
Microsoft has given customers six months notice to prepare for the inbound price changes. Below are full details on the price rises that will come into effect next March.
