As with many growing businesses, UniExpress had a variety of Microsoft Office applications ranging from Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and a few with Office 2013. Some users with older versions of Word and Excel were experiencing problems opening documents, and were having to email attachments to users with newer versions of MS Office to open them.
The process seems trivial perhaps but multiply this over 50 or so users and it becomes a real productivity issue. The problem in reality costs the company hundreds, if not thousands of pounds of lost manpower each month.
UniExpress contacted Eitex via Microsoft Pinpoint as an Office 365 specialist. After cost analysis we found that Office 365 Midsize Business subscription was the best value for money.
As well as upgrading all users to Office Pro Plus 2013, we also migrated legacy POP3 email systems to Exchange Online giving the users 50gb mailboxes, with shared access to Calendars and Contacts.
