Digital Technology Grants for Yorkshire Businesses

Digital Technology Grants for Yorkshire Businesses

Keeping up with digital technology can be challenging, both in terms of cost and in fears over disruption to business operations.

Business owners or CIOs can often find themselves on the horn of a dilemma. Budget restraints may prevent them adopting the latest tech, despite the risks involved if they don’t keep up.

“Balancing IT needs with current business operations is a common challenge,” says Dean Spencer, Eitex MD. “Bosses say they wish they could upgrade their IT, but they worry about potential downtime and how much it’s going to cost.”

Fast Forward your Business for a Fraction of the Cost

Is your business based in the Leeds city region? And is it classified as small to medium? If so, Eitex can help you get up to 90% funding from the Leeds Enterprise Partnership with a Digital Growth Voucher.

The aim of the funding is to help local Leeds businesses upscale their digital technologies to become smarter, more innovative and competitive.

Eitex can offer 90% grant funding to eligible businesses for Office 365 and cloud implementations. Dean Spencer added, “The grant offers a boost to local companies. They can move their business forward with new technologies for a fraction of the normal cost. The scope is enormous, giving Leeds businesses a real lift. ”

Check if you’re Eligible

To qualify for grant funding, businesses must meet certain criteria. There’s an eligibility checker on the Digital Enterprise website that’s quick and easy to use. We’re also happy to discuss the funding with you, and guide you through the application process.

Basic criteria include being in the Leeds/Wakefield regions and having fewer than 250 employees with a turnover of less than £43 million per annum.

Funding comes via the European Union Regional Development Fund, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds city region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

Meet GDPR Requirements with Office 365

The imminent GDPR rules have shaken up all businesses that hold EU customer data. There are new regulations to meet, and new ways of safeguarding EU citizens’ private information.

Office 365 has robust security and privacy policies that help you safeguard data in the cloud:

• letting you control and discover what data you hold and where it is, so you can meet GDPR regulation requirements.
• helps you meet the core GDPR requirement of protecting personal data against security breaches.

Failing to meet GDPR compliance standards can lead to hefty fines, and it’s an ongoing task to monitor and maintain privacy and security. The Digital Enterprise grant fund can help you get the systems you need for compliance now and in the future.

The grant is available to new and existing customers, so do get in touch if you’d like more or to discuss how we can help you get it. At the moment we’re also offering a free GDPR IT assessment so you know just where you stand and what you need to do next.
