When we found out that our MD Dean Spencer and colleague Josh Richardson was going to be skydiving in aide of The Prince of Wales Hospice, an idea came to life. Why not set an office up 15,000ft in the clouds to demonstrate the power of cloud solutions for remote working?
Work From Anywhere with Office 365
For a long time, we’ve been exhibiting Office 365 and pushing the flexibility and possibilities of cloud computing. So we thought that being 15,000ft up in the clouds would really be pushing that flexibility to its limits.
Office 365 allows you to Work from Anywhere. Flexible working is key in today’s business world and Office 365 offers this. Your data and e-mail are available as well as cloud based applications enabling you to work from anywhere and on any device.
During the flight we’ll tweet on the way up, share pictures and video conference from the plane.
Build a Powerful Community
Eitex are raising funds for a local charity which is dear to our hearts, The Prince of Wales Hospice based in Pontefract.
The Hospice has been Eitex’s chosen charity for a few years now. It costs over £3 million a year to keep the Hospice open and they only receive around 25% of this from the NHS. For the rest, their patients rely on the generosity of local people and companies.
Eitex were honoured to be given the opportunity to become the first member at the launch of Club 5 which is a great network club for the 5 towns area. Eitex also wanted the opportunity to help raise more, therefore the skydive seemed like a great opportunity. First of all community and helping each other is what we’re all about.
Josh Richardson and Dean Spencer and plummeting 15,000ft at the UK’s highest skydive in Hibaldstow on the 16th September. They’re hoping to raise £1,500 hence 10p per foot!
