Protect your business with two-factor authentication

Reportedly 75% of all hacks are via fraudulent emails; phishing emails are a hackers favourite tool to gain access to your systems. Protect your systems today with two-factor authentication.

So how do you protect your email from hackers and phishing email attempts? Enabling 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) or Modern Authentication is the quickest and easiest way of protecting your business.

What is 2FA? 2-FA is a second form of verification required to log in to online services. Microsoft 365 and other services like Amazon, PayPal, Facebook, Google are pushing 2FA. So to log on, you need to enter your password. In addition, you need to approve via Authenticator App or a PIN Number that is either text or emailed to you.

The system is convenient, i.e. it will not continue to ask for secondary verification on ‘remembered devices’

We want all organisations protected, and setting up 2-FA is easy. We have produced this short video to show you how. Of course, you don’t need to do this yourself if you don’t want to; our team will be more than happy to help. Please email [email protected]. We will assist free of charge; you don’t need to be an Eitex customer to take advantage of this service.

Extra layer of security to your systems

Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your systems. This makes it more difficult for cybercriminals to access your sensitive information. By requiring a second form of authentication in addition to your password, you add an extra hurdle for hackers to overcome, even if they have managed to steal or guess your password. Therefore, this extra step can prevent unauthorised access and protect your personal and business data from compromise. Additionally, using Two-Factor Authentication can help you comply with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, as it provides additional security for personal and sensitive information. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you implement Two-Factor Authentication for all your accounts. These include email, social media, and online banking.
