CBR Engineering has been at their base on Albion Street in Castleford for many years. In fact, there is a long tradition going back to the mid-nineteenth century of boilermakers on that site. CBR Engineering takes pride in carrying forward the same skills and workmanship.
Today, their customer base spans the world, with contracts ranging from the UK to the Middle East. CBR Engineering designs and manufactures and installs engineering solutions for industries that include power, biomass, water, LNG, chemical and timber treatment plants, whilst also undertaking general engineering, steel fabrication, machining and are certified to ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO3834 and EN1090 Exc. 1, 2 & 3.

CBR Engineering has been the main shirt sponsor for Castleford Tigers since 2014. We’re also Tigers supporters, and share with them the founding of the #ThirdThurs business networking group. The rugby club hosts the group meetings.

One problem faced by many companies is that of staying up to date with the latest versions of software. It’s too easy to continue using legacy versions when daily business demands are more pressing. The result is often a confusion of software versions. All can have different licence limitations, update needs and security concerns.
Security and compatibility come to the fore when several users prepare, share or change documents.
We plan to move CBR Engineering to Office 365 for email. We’ll consolidate licensing and make sure everyone is using the same Microsoft Office version. CBR Engineering can also take advantage of Microsoft’s scalable cloud services, adding features as they’re needed.
With Microsoft’s cloud service, companies don’t have to try and anticipate future needs. Nor do they have to bear costs today for capabilities they may (or may not) need tomorrow. Software as an operations expenditure (rather than a capital expense), makes it easier to meet future demands.
We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with CBR Engineering.
